After today taking out the coveted #1 position on the Power 50 List for 2017, Chairman & CEO Australia and New Zealand and President of Asia Sony Music, Denis Handlin AO, has appeared on The Music's Producer Series podcast to discuss the impressive feat.

Starting from his beginnings in the music industry as a junior record assembler at Brisbane's warehouse of the Australian Record Company in 1970, Handlin opens up to host Neil Griffiths in detail about how he climbed the ranks to become the most influential figure in the Australian music industry today.

As well as discussing early memories and nurturing the careers of the likes of Midnight Oil and Delta Goodrem, Handlin also speaks about current Sony acts such as Gang Of Youths, Amy Shark and Peking Duk, who all enjoyed a blockbuster 2017 and attributed to another hugely successful year for the label.

Whether you're a musician, work in the industry or just simply a fan of music, this is one podcast you don't want to miss.
