Melbourne singer-songwriter Alice Ivy’s 2018 just got a whole lot bigger with the announcement that she’s inked an international deal with Last Gang Records.
The Toronto-based label first came across Ivy through her 2016 single Almost Here and just had to be involved with her forthcoming debut album I’m Dreaming which is due to drop on 9 February.
“I'm Dreaming is a sublime piece of work from top to bottom. We are excited to welcome Alice Ivy and her team to our global team,” Last Gang Records co-founder Christ Taylor said.
The Canadian label will join forces with her local representation, Dew Process/UMA, ahead of her upcoming showcase at SXSW in March.
“I'm so stoked to be working with Last Gang. It's a dream come true to be a part of a legacy of inspiring bands that I grew up listening to,” Ivy said.
“I've been making music as Alice Ivy for just over 2 years now and this is a huge milestone in my career.”
Ivy joins a long line of high profile Last Gang Records signees including Metric, Purity Ring, MSTRKRFT, Chromeo and Crystal Castles.
